Dear Mr. President

Dear Mr. President,                                        May 22, 2007

     As of today I am going to start putting my letters to you onto my blog “Dear Mr. President”.  I am not doing this for reasons of self-aggrandizement, although that is the motivation with which I am sure you are most familiar.  I simply want to make the most vociferous protest I can against your appalling policies, most especially against our totally illegal invasion of Iraq.

I have decided to put my letters to you onto a blog.  The blog is called “Dear Mr. President”, but that shouldn’t put you off.  You are mentioned in the subtitle.  I feel it is encumbent upon all of us who oppose the policies of our present government to make our opposition as effective as we can.  Merely writing to you clearly has had no effect, except to make me feel better. 

Consequently, I have decided to go public.
