Dear Mr. President

Dear Mr. President,

     It occurs to me that the real quandary for Democrats lies in the fact that, in order to nominate the first woman canditate for the Presidency, they have to reject the first Afro-American candidate, and vice versa.  

     And while we should rejoice that women and people of color are finally able to run for high office, isn’t it sad that it’s taken this long?  Isn’t it sad that race and gender are still issues?  When will we ever learn?
