Dear Mr. President,
So you’ve lifted the ban on offshore drilling. Well, you’re the oilman around here. And, oh heck, Dick Cheney is an oilman, too.
I wouldn’t want to cast aspersions (or nasturtiums, for that matter) on your decision. After all, for you guys it’s a win-win situation. You win and the oil companies win. To say nothing of good old Halliburton.
It’s only the whole rest of our country that loses.
Sincerely, VNV

yep pretty amazing he didn’t remove the presidential ban put in place by his father back when the Congress was controlled by Republicans, yet now it is all Dems fault right? Why didn’t he lift it in 2001, could it be Republicans wouldn’t have supported it in Congress either because their constituents would have been POed and voted them out of office?
Quite politically convenient to pass the blame when he had a rubber stamp Congress for 6 years for which he did not lift the ban and ask a Republican Congress to drill for oil on the coasts.
