Dear Mr. President,
Here is a link to an excellent article in the Guardian about the shabby, shoddy deal we struck with part of the Iraqi Parliament to “allow” our troops to stay in that country. Now, I am not trying to cast aspersions on the tremendous progress that has been made in the past year. However, as this article points out, this progress is sort of like the band-aid you put on the victim after you’ve cut off his arm and his leg. We’ve stopped the bleeding to some extent, but the damage is done.
What we’re saying now is: keep that band-aid on!!! Ignore the gangrene racing through what’s left of your body.

Sincerely, VNV
