Dear Mr. President,

Why don’t you put your press briefings onto the Whitehouse website?  I can only find them on the website of the Press Corps.  And why don’t you ever answer your mail?  George W. always did, don’t forget!

Otherwise, you’re doing  fine things out there in Washington!!!  Great interview with Al Arabia.    Good stuff on the economy and the environment. Nice tries with non-partisonship.  Or at least, tries.  Maybe “nice” is the wrong word.  So keep up the good work!

Sincerely, VNV

Dowy Jones’ Locker

Dear Mr. President,

Yesterday the Dow Jones was down 358 points!!!!!   There’s nothing to add to that.  You have almost single-handedly ruined the American economy.  Oh, you did have help, I know.  But the buck stops with you. In fact, it doesn’t just stop; it crashes and plummets into what we could call Dowy Jones’ Locker.

Sincerely, VNV

Oil prices

Dear Mr. President,
In America people are complaining about gas being $4.00 a galleon.  I
just figured it through, and over here, gas is about $8.00 a gallon.  But
that’s only by the way.   Americans are blaming everyone and everything, but
the blame lies squarely with you, Mr. President.  Your policies have
devalued the dollar so greatly that the oil producing countries have no
choice but to go along with the trend.   Only now are you even beginning to
consider searching for alternatives to fossile fuels.  And the only other
idea you seem to have is to plunder our dwindling wilderness areas to supply
our thirst for oil.
If you would stop this war, if you would recind your tax cuts, if you
would start creating jobs in the environmental sector, then you could
invigorate the dollar and reduce our dependence on oil.   Lack of demand would help bring down the price.  That would make
everyone happy.

Sincerely, VNV
